Strengthening the capacity of Empire des Enfants (Dakar, Senegal) for social action and socio-cultural animation.

EMPIRE DES ENFANTS is a temporary reception centre for vulnerable children (lost children, victims of trafficking or family break-up), which was created in 2003 in the Medina of Dakar.

In 2009 ALTA MANE helped the association Nit Nitey Garabam to organize numerous arts workshops on the premises of Empire des Enfants, a temporary shelter for street children in Dakar. Five artists, coordinated by the famous glass-painter Moussa Sakho, have conducted weekly workshops (drawing, glass painting and sculpture) with the children and young people of Empire des Enfants.
