The Spanish organisation ICARIA works for the social and labour reintegration of people with psychological disabilities, and in particular Down syndrome. It manages a training school in Barcelona where the young disabled live and work, as well as a Graphic Art Centre and the INOUT Hostel.

In 2006 ALTA MANE contributed to the expansion of the INOUT Hostel in Barcelona. Operational since 2005, INOUT is the first hostel in Europe run entirely by people with psychological disabilities. It offers a number of services (restaurant, bar, discothèque, a large garden with a swimming pool and sports facilities) and welcomes students and families with children from all over Europe.
