Artistic workshops for patients with marrow lesions AUS (Associazione Unità Spinale) NIGUARDA ONLUS is a non-profit association that works, since 1998, within the Unità Spinale of the Ospedale Niguarda in Milano, supporting people with marrow lesions aiming at their psychological and physical recovery and social reintegration.

Since 2009 ALTA MANE supports the experimental “arts laboratory” project with weekly painting sessions for a group of five spinal cord injury patients on Niguarda Hospital’s spinal ward, led by an art therapist and two trainees from the association ARCA Onlus (Milan). In addition, ALTA MANE supports a music workshop for patients with spinal cord injuries. In 2011 ALTA MANE also supports the development of a research to evaluate the methodology of the artistic laboratories.
