PSYCHIC-PHYSICAL HARDSHIP
Project in collaboration with Association Un Cuore per Amico (c/o AOU Federico II di NapLES)
Art workshop in the children’s heart surgery ward at the Federico II University Hospital in Naples
The association UN CUORE PER AMICO was founded in 1993 by the parents of children suffering from congenital heart disease. It provides psychological, logistical, economic and legal assistance and specialist medical advice to the families of the young in-patients.
The contribution made by ALTA MANE in 2010 includes supporting children aged between 3 and 12 during their time in hospital, by organising recreational and artistic activities that allow them to express their emotions and face their fear of surgery. In particular, ALTA MANE covers the salary of an art operator (painter) and her assistant and the cost of buying the materials needed to carry out the activities with the children.
