Laboratory for Cellular Therapy The DIPARTIMENTO DI BIOPATOLOGIA DELL'UNIVERSITA' DEGLI STUDI DI ROMA - "TOR VERGATA" (BIO-PATHOLOGY DEPARTMENT AT ROME’S TOR VERGATA UNIVERSITY) is committed to scientific research addressed at improving clinical results of allogenic bone marrow transplants in patients affected by hematopoietic pathologies, and with no compatible donor.

The new Cell Therapy Laboratory officially opened at the Department of Biopathology and Image Diagnostics at the University of Rome - Tor Vergata on 23 May 2007, entirely financed by ALTA MANE. It performs scientific research through the implementation of experimental protocols to improve the clinical results of allogeneic transplants by using haematopoietic stem cells, which are extracted from umbilical cord blood and amplified in vitro, in patients with haematological pathologies.
