Project in collaboration with projeto axe'

PROJETO AXE' is a Brazilian Association committed since a long time to the recovery and social reintegration of street children in Salvador de Bahia with activities addressed at developing artistic talent (dance, music, plastic arts, fashion).

In 2008 ALTA MANE funded:
a) two training courses for hundred social workers coming both from Projeto Axé (former trainees) and from non-government organizations as well as community associations;
b) professional percussions courses Matriz des Artes (12 months);
c) the tour of the chamber music group GE.CA. to Rome (Italy), in the course of the International Rome Film Festival, for a concert on 24 October 2008 in the “Auditorium della Conciliazione, also featuring Italian singer Fiorella Mannoia.(more...)

In 2009 ALTA MANE promoted and opened a new Axè Italia office in Rome.

In addition, in 2009 and 2010, ALTA MANE supported the project "Matriz das artes" based in Salvador-Bahia trough the following activities:

a) professionalization courses for 40 youngsters in drums and percussions;

b) professionalization courses in other artistic disciplines.

In 2010 ALTA MANE also conceived, coordinated and funded the Study Tour to the Festival Umbria Jazz 2010 for the young artists of Projeto Axé.
