Completion of the multifunctional space “Laboratori WLAD”.

The project in detail

Support the WonderLAD project (where Architecture meets Solidarity) and specifically the completion of the main module “Laboratori WLAD” (748 m2). This space will allow young patients of the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Units of the Policlinico of Catania to grow and carry out normal life activities, even during hospital stays, thanks to art and creativity.

In 2018, the main module “WLAD Laboratory”, supported by Fondation Alta Mane since 2016, has been successfully completed adopting eco-friendly materials and new technologies. The module will be used as a multifunctional space in where, since September 2019, the first artistic workshops will be activated (including specific workshops on Pet Therapy and Drama) as well as different education and recreative daily activities, for the benefit of the young patients and their families.
