Fondation Alta Mane supported Onè Respe by funding reading and creative writing workshops, drama, percussion, meetings and exchanges between the organisation’s various groups and with other associations and a group summer camp.

Onè Respe is a Dominican organisation established in 1994 to promote solidarity and overcome prejudice in areas where Haitians and Dominicans struggle to live together through activities focusing on prevention, information, care and education. In particular, Onè Respe runs community schools in marginalised neighbourhoods of Santiago de Los Caballeros, characterised by racism, segregation, poverty and exclusion, carrying out intercultural activities there.
